this year my fiance and i decided instead of surprising each other with gifts like normal. we made a day out of it. after work on friday my fiance surprised me with the idea to set a price range and then head to a favorite store and together shop for a gift we would like from each other. of course my choice store was anthropologie and of course my fiances choice was rei. we didn't give time limits we just spent the day shopping at these two stores together. i have to admit it was great fun! not only did we both get exactly what we wanted but picked it out together & give it even more meaning. of course on monday he still surprised me with flowers and dark chocolate and i still surprised him with an assortment of his favorite chocolate dipped fruits and a card. it is a great thing for couples to do to change things up a bit. happy shopping!
